Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program

Home Comfort Mechanical works closely with the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) to help customers in need of energy assistance. LIHEAP is a federally funded program that provides support to low-income households for utility bill payments. Federal funds are distributed to each state and the individual states then administer the program and distribute the funds. LIHEAP pays partial energy bills for eligible families. The program provides support on a first come-first serve basis, so it is important to apply as early as possible because some states do not provide support once their federal funding has run out. Contact LIHEAP for more information.

The LIHEAP program is run by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare. If you have a heating emergency and need to apply for a crisis grant, contact your local county assistance office or visit the DPW LIHEAP Website.
